Problems Beyond the Coach's Desk™

Volume 4.1: The Seven AIs and the New Website Debate

Colors, Fonts, and the Future of Coaching Brands

By Royal Lei

Opening Reflection

Building a coaching website used to be simple. Pick a template, choose a few colors, add a photo, and publish.

Today, Artificial Intelligence has opinions.

Not one opinion. Seven.

Imagine gathering seven AI advisors around a virtual conference table and asking one question:

"What colors and fonts should a coaching website use?"

The answers are surprisingly different.

Meet the Seven AIs

AI #1: The Traditionalist

Favorite Colors

  • Navy Blue
  • Gold
  • White

Favorite Fonts

  • Garamond
  • Baskerville
  • Georgia

The Traditionalist believes authority creates trust.

This AI argues that clients invest in coaches who appear established, credible, and professional.

Its website would resemble:

  • Ivy League institutions
  • Luxury consulting firms
  • Premium leadership academies

Verdict: Classic. Elegant. Timeless.

But perhaps a little predictable.

AI #2: The Minimalist

Favorite Colors

  • White
  • Charcoal
  • Soft Gray

Favorite Fonts

  • Helvetica
  • Inter
  • Avenir

The Minimalist believes simplicity is the ultimate sophistication.

This AI removes everything unnecessary.

Its advice:

"If it doesn't serve the client, remove it."

Every button has a purpose.

Every word earns its place.

Verdict: Clean. Modern. Effective.

Yet sometimes emotionally distant.

AI #3: The Creative Rebel

Favorite Colors

  • Coral
  • Teal
  • Mustard Yellow

Favorite Fonts

  • Poppins
  • Montserrat
  • Quicksand

The Rebel is tired of seeing thousands of coaching websites that look identical.

Its philosophy:

"If everyone is doing blue and gray, do something memorable."

This AI loves:

  • Unexpected layouts
  • Storytelling
  • Visual personality

Verdict: Memorable and human.

But potentially overwhelming.

AI #4: The Psychologist

Favorite Colors

  • Sage Green
  • Warm Beige
  • Ocean Blue

Favorite Fonts

  • Lora
  • Merriweather
  • Source Sans Pro

The Psychologist studies emotional responses.

It knows:

  • Blue lowers anxiety
  • Green signals growth
  • Soft neutrals create safety

Its recommendation:

"Choose colors that regulate nervous systems, not just attract clicks."

Verdict: Deeply client-centered.

Particularly suited for trauma-informed coaching.

AI #5: The Marketing Strategist

Favorite Colors

  • High-Contrast Combinations
  • Strategic Accent Colors
  • Attention-Based Design

Favorite Fonts

  • Open Sans
  • Inter
  • Roboto

The Strategist doesn't care about beauty.

It cares about conversions.

Questions include:

  • Will visitors click?
  • Will they schedule?
  • Will they stay?

This AI views every color as data.

Every font as a business decision.

Verdict: Highly effective.

But not always inspiring.

AI #6: The Storyteller

Favorite Colors

  • Sunset Orange
  • Deep Purple
  • Golden Sand

Favorite Fonts

  • Playfair Display
  • Cormorant Garamond
  • Libre Baskerville

The Storyteller believes websites should feel like journeys.

Visitors should experience:

  • Curiosity
  • Hope
  • Transformation

It asks:

"What emotional chapter begins when someone lands on your homepage?"

Verdict: Beautifully engaging.

Ideal for narrative-based coaching.

AI #7: The Future Thinker

Favorite Colors

  • Electric Violet
  • Neon Pink
  • Digital Blue

Favorite Fonts

  • Space Grotesk
  • Orbitron
  • Sora

This AI assumes coaching will increasingly blend:

  • Human wisdom
  • Technology
  • Artificial intelligence

Its websites look futuristic without becoming cold.

Its motto:

"Prepare clients for tomorrow."

Verdict: Innovative and memorable.

Yet not suitable for every audience.

The Debate

The seven AIs quickly disagree.

The Traditionalist says:

"Use navy and gold."

The Rebel says:

"Everyone already does."

The Psychologist says:

"What emotion are you trying to create?"

The Marketing Strategist asks:

"What converts best?"

The Storyteller asks:

"What story does the brand tell?"

The Future Thinker asks:

"Will this feel relevant in five years?"

The Minimalist quietly removes three colors, two fonts, and half the homepage.

  • Tropical Green

Heading Font

Playfair Display

  • Innovative
  • Transformational

The result honors tradition while embracing the future.

The Real Lesson

The best website colors and fonts are not chosen by trends.

They are chosen by purpose.

Before selecting a palette, every coach should ask:

  1. What experience do I want visitors to have?
  2. What emotions should they feel?
  3. What values do I represent?
  4. What kind of transformation do I offer?
  5. If my website could speak, what would it say?

When those answers become clear, the colors and fonts often choose themselves.

Closing Reflection

The future of coaching websites will not belong solely to designers.

It will not belong solely to marketers.

And it certainly will not belong solely to AI.

The future belongs to coaches who can blend human wisdom, authentic story, ethical design, and intelligent technology into something distinctly their own.

Because beyond the colors, beyond the fonts, and beyond the algorithms lies the one thing AI cannot fully replicate:

The transformational connection between one human being and another.
