TikTok Is Out of Control: Turn On Safe Mode for Your DMs

TikTok is out of control with scammers in the DMs. Here's how to turn on Safe Mode so you can get into your DMs without the scammers.

1. Go to your profile page.
2. Tap the three little lines in the top corner.
3. Tap "Settings and privacy."
4. Scroll about halfway down the page to "Direct messages" and tap it.
5. Find "Safe mode" and toggle it ON (turn it green).
6. Right below that, tap "Filtered keywords."
7. On the next page, enter the keywords below — one by one, or separated by commas.
