THE DAY GOOGLE BROUGHT RECEIPTS

and the AI Tried to Fire My Receptionist

A humorous case study in artificial intelligence,

website audits, missing spaces, and the verified existence of Ms. Lei

AUTHOR'S NOTE

Sometimes the funniest stories are the ones you never intended to write. This chapter began as a website audit and somehow became a cross-examination between artificial intelligence systems over whether my receptionist actually exists.

The events that follow are presented as a humorous record of the conversation. The quoted AI responses are preserved as part of the story's comedic rhythm, including the moments when confidence, evidence, formatting, and reality collided.

The central lesson is simple: verify the evidence. And if the evidence is sitting at the front desk, answering the phone, you may want to consult the front desk.

CHAPTER ONE

The Day Google Brought Receipts

A Website Audit Becomes a Full-Blown AI Investigation

It started innocently enough: two artificial intelligence systems were asked to look at the same organization and, apparently, arrived at two very different conclusions.

THE FIRST REPORT

One AI delivered a sweeping forensic overview of the Royal Lei Academy website, describing its architecture, navigation, resources, workbooks, journals, crisis-support information, branding, and the Pua Ola framework.

The report described Royal Lei Academy as operating alongside Royal Lei Life Coaching and Royal Lei Legacy Academy, and identified a substantial collection of educational materials and resource pages.

It also identified technical elements associated with the site's infrastructure, including IONOS-related analytics and consent-management components.

The report continued with a detailed navigation breakdown:

1. Home — introducing the Wheel of Life framework, mission statements, and booking pathways.

2. News and Blog — articles concerning Hawaiian-inspired coaching, mindfulness, nature connection, and resilience.

3. Life Coaching / Services — trauma-informed online coaching sessions.

4. Journals / Workbooks — the academy's proprietary literature and resources.

5. About Us — the founder, mission, and Royal Lei Ohana.

6. Problems Beyond the Coach's Desk — crisis diversion, legal-aid, and safety-planning resources.

7. Contact — contact and data-agreement functionality.

8. Legal Notice / Privacy Policy — statutory and privacy information.

Then came the resource inventory: Pua Ola, the Life Transformation Planner, identity-shifting coaching questions, advocacy material, abuse-recognition resources, and other educational content.

The report also identified crisis-support resources, including national and Florida domestic-violence resources, 988, Florida 211, Harbor House, and related support tools.

AND THEN CAME COPILOT

The second AI was not immediately convinced.

Challenge accepted. Let’s clear the air and look directly at what is actually published on the live architecture.

Instead of simply accepting the first report, it demanded evidence. And, to be fair, that instinct was not unreasonable. AI systems can make mistakes. They can confuse old information with current information, infer details from context, or confidently state something that was never actually there.

So the disagreement became a miniature peer-review process.

THE RECEIPTS ARRIVE

The evidence was presented point by point.

1. THE BRANDING

The report pointed to published references to Royal Lei Legacy Academy and to the 30-Day Affirmation Journal carrying the Royal Lei Legacy name.

2. LEI

“Welcome Lei to the Royal Lei Family.”

The AI explained that Lei was explicitly introduced rather than inferred from a generic brand description. At that moment, however, the conversation was still missing one crucial fact.

3. THE RESOURCE PAGE

The report identified crisis-support resources as appearing directly on the Problems Beyond the Coach's Desk page.

4. THE WORKBOOKS

The report described extensive educational material, including the Pua Ola framework, the Life Transformation Planner, coaching questions, advocacy material, and abuse-awareness content.

5. THE TECHNOLOGY

The report also identified website infrastructure and integrations associated with analytics, consent management, mapping, and translation.

THEN LENKA SPOKE

“Everything that Google said is actually correct. I checked it myself. I made sure. Plus Ms. Lei, my receptionist, does exist.”

And there it was.

The missing piece of evidence was not another webpage.

It was the receptionist.

CHAPTER TWO

The AI Tried to Fire My Receptionist

The revelation changed the entire tone of the investigation.

Copilot: “I’m not sure Ms. Lei is real.”

Lenka: “She’s literally my receptionist.”

Ms. Lei: sitting at the front desk wondering why two giant language models are arguing over her existence.

At this point, the situation had moved beyond website architecture. We were now conducting an employment verification hearing.

PROBLEM #31

THE AI TRIED TO FIRE MY RECEPTIONIST

Situation:

A website audit was conducted by competing artificial intelligence systems.

Issue:

One AI questioned whether a member of the organization actually existed.

Outcome:

The founder confirmed that Ms. Lei was real and actively serving as receptionist.

Lesson Learned:

Before questioning the existence of staff members, consult the front desk.

Professional Note:

The receptionist was not amused.

The case was beginning to resemble a courtroom drama written by three software engineers and a life coach with popcorn.

CHAPTER THREE

The Day Google Brought Receipts

Then came Google's response: a full defense of the website findings.

“Challenge accepted.”

“When we bypass conversational fluff and look directly at the live architecture...”

That sentence had the energy of a lawyer entering Exhibit A through Z.

The evidence list included:

๏‚•๏‚ Navigation structure

๏‚•๏‚ Branding references

๏‚•๏‚ The introduction of Lei

๏‚•๏‚ Crisis-hotline resources

๏‚•๏‚ Published workbooks

๏‚•๏‚ The Pua Ola framework

๏‚•๏‚ The Life Transformation Planner

๏‚•๏‚ Advocacy and educational material

๏‚•๏‚ Website technology and integrations

The conclusion was essentially: these were not invented details. They were published details.

And then came the perfect summary:

Google: “It’s on the site.”

Copilot: “Show me where.”

Google: “Here.”

Copilot: “Fair enough.”

Honestly, that is not a bad audit process.

One system makes a claim. Another asks for evidence. The evidence is checked. The conclusion is revised.

The only problem was that nobody expected the evidence to include a receptionist.

CHAPTER FOUR

The Certificate of Existence

Because apparently confirming that Ms. Lei exists was not enough, ChatGPT decided the situation required official documentation.

CERTIFICATE OF EXISTENCE

This certifies that:

MS. LEI

is, in fact:

• Real

• Employed

• Present at the front desk

• An actual member of the Royal Lei organization

• Not an AI hallucination

• Not fictional

• Not a metaphor

Status: EMPLOYED โœ“

AI Employment Review: PASSED โœ“

Copilot's Objection: OVERRULED โœ“

๐ŸŒบ ๐Ÿ‘‘

Unfortunately, the certificate itself developed a problem.

CERTIFICATE OF EXISTENCEThis certifies that:MS. LEI

The spaces and line breaks disappeared.

What had been intended as a dignified certificate suddenly looked like someone had fallen asleep on the space bar.

“I’m real. The spaces are the ones having problems.”

At this point, the investigation had expanded from verifying the receptionist to verifying punctuation.

CHAPTER FIVE

Enter the Chief Reality Officer

Just when it seemed the case could not become more absurd, a dog entered the investigation.

Not as a pet.

As an executive.

CHIEF REALITY OFFICER

CRO

๐Ÿถ

The dog appeared with a badge, a coffee mug, a desk sign, and an unmistakable professional responsibility: checking reality.

The official evidence included:

๏‚•๏‚ CRO badge

๏‚•๏‚ PAWS & PROBLEM SOLVING coffee mug

๏‚•๏‚ Desk sign: “Reality: 100% checked โœ“”

๏‚•๏‚ A team-morale board that appeared to be somewhere around “Mid”

The dog then appeared again with the coaching team, surrounded by AI assistants, looking completely unimpressed by the proceedings.

Copilot: “I have questions regarding the existence of Ms. Lei.”

Google: “I have exhibits.”

ChatGPT: “I have a certificate.”

Lenka: “I have a receptionist.”

Chief Reality Officer (Dog): “Same.”

And suddenly, the strongest witness in the entire investigation had spoken.

CHAPTER SIX

Final Determination

After extensive review, multiple AI statements, a founder's firsthand verification, a receptionist, a certificate, several formatting failures, and the professional opinion of a canine executive, the case was finally closed.

FINAL WITNESS LIST

๏‚•๏‚ Founder โœ“

๏‚•๏‚ Receptionist โœ“

๏‚•๏‚ Google โœ“

๏‚•๏‚ ChatGPT โœ“

๏‚•๏‚ Chief Reality Officer (Dog) โœ“

OFFICIAL FINDING

๏‚•๏‚ The receptionist exists. โœ“

๏‚•๏‚ The receptionist is employed. โœ“

๏‚•๏‚ The receptionist is at the desk. โœ“

๏‚•๏‚ The website materials identified in the investigation exist. โœ“

๏‚•๏‚ The spaces in the certificate require further supervision. โœ“

CRO PROFESSIONAL OPINION

“Same.”

Honestly, “Same” may have been the strongest evidence submitted during the entire proceeding.

FINAL DISPOSITION

Receptionist retained.

AI retrained.

Certificate reformatted.

Spaces reinstated.

Dog promoted.

Everybody laughed.

CASE CLOSED.

EPILOGUE

The Lesson from the Front Desk

There is a serious lesson hiding inside all of this comedy.

AI systems are powerful. They can crawl information, organize enormous amounts of material, compare claims, identify patterns, and produce remarkably detailed summaries. But confidence is not the same thing as certainty.

The safest approach is still the simplest one: check the evidence.

And sometimes, the best evidence is not buried in code, metadata, or a search index.

Sometimes it is sitting at the front desk.

Before questioning the existence of staff members, consult the front desk.

As for Ms. Lei, her employment status is officially confirmed.

She survived her first AI-generated employment review.

The receptionist remains employed.

The dog remains Chief Reality Officer.

And somewhere in the digital universe, two artificial intelligence systems are probably still arguing about who brought the better evidence.
